Some Photographers Visit The Outback.
I Grew Up There.

How You Going? I’m Clancy!

I grew up on cattle stations in remote north Australia, then spent two years travelling the country with my parents before most kids had ever left their suburb. Wide skies and red dirt before I ever knew what a suburb looked like. That childhood is still with me every time I pick up a camera somewhere wild.

These days I'm putting down roots in Denmark, WA. Building a home in the Great Southern between trips to wherever wild takes me.

I shoot the way I was raised: unhurried, present, and completely at ease in the middle of nowhere. I just want us to hang out with you in your happy place, share campfire stories, and show up exactly as you are. We’ll chuck on your favourite Spotify tunes (no, it doesn’t have to be Queen Dolly Parton), swap 4x4 outback adventure tips, and hang out like old mates.

Seriously, no weird posing or “say cheese” smiles around here. The only thing you’ll have to prepare for is my easily excitable hand gestures - unless I’m holding the camera or patting the closest furry friend, I swear my hands do their own thing.

I'm bloody excited to meet you!

Let's talk about where we're going.

I've shot weddings in a lot of beautiful places. Venues with stunning gardens, clifftops with ocean views, properties that took years of planning to find.

But the moments I think about most? They're always somewhere a little harder to get to.

The elopement where we hiked in before dawn and watched the gorge turn gold. The couple who said yes to a spontaneous detour down a red dirt road and ended up with the photo they have above their fireplace.

Something shifts when you're somewhere that asks something of you. The noise quiets down. You stop performing and start feeling.

That's what wild places do. And it's why I'll always be nudging you toward one.

WHY WILD PLACES?

Let’s Dish Out 8 More UNfancy-Schmancy Clancy Facts

In 2025, I became a mum, and seeing the outdoors through fresh, completely awestruck little eyes has made me love it more than I thought possible. He's obsessed. Honestly, same.

I grew up on cattle stations in remote north Australia, homeschooled, then spent two years travelling the country with my parents. Wide skies and red dirt from day one.

My ultimate happy place is a campfire under the stars, somewhere far from the nearest town, with Jack beside me and a steaming hot cuppa in my hands. Simple as that.

Country music is my life’s ultimate soundtrack; I play a Spotify playlist called “Sitting Under a Gumtree” religiously.

Jack is my partner and the cool cucumber to my easily excitable everything. His calmness keeps me grounded. I keep things interesting. It works.

My pup, Sadie, is my everything, and I’m obsessed with her. Rain, hail, or shine, you’ll find us on long romantic walks together.

I'm genuinely torn between Dolly Parton and Chris Stapleton and I don't think I'll ever resolve it. Don't ask me to choose.

A soda and lime after a swim in a remote waterhole on a hot summer's day is my version of a five-star experience.

And you know what?

I am completely, unapologetically obsessed with this country

The red dirt outback, the red-tailed black cockatoos, the Indigenous history and culture, the good ol' Aussie slang. I feel lucky every single day that my job takes me deeper into it.

And if you've read this far, I already reckon we're going to get along just fine.

Matt & Sesha

“We can’t thank Clancy enough for how seamless she made the photography on our wedding day. Her professionalism and communication in the lead up was a godsend! On the day, her calming and fun personality made the whole experience really relaxing and enjoyable, which was ideal for people like us that aren’t very comfortable with being in front of the camera”

Victoria & Mick

"Clancy was recommended to me and boy did she deliver. So easy to work with, and made us all feel so comfortable. I was worried that I might feel awkward but Clancy made it fun. Then the photos arrived, WOW! Clancy captured all of the right things, the little things often missed. We haven't been able to pick which ones are our favourite as there were so many. Thanks Clancy, can't wait to work with you again! "
